We’re taking you back to 2020 for this summer wedding inspo!
Being a military couple isn’t easy. Just ask Madi and Quintin who had to plan and reschedule their Kendall Point wedding three times thanks to both COVID and Quintin’s marine duties.
Madi and Quintin originally booked Kendall Point in 2018 for their early summer 2020 wedding. They planned a perfect early summer wedding for all their guests. Unfortunately, COVID halted all plans, and Quintin was ordered to stay in place (Florida) until further notice (that’s what wedding insurance is for!).
Madi and Quintin decided to postpone the wedding for July of 2020, when we all assumed this COVID thing would pass in a month or so…(ha!) They planned and scheduled for July 3rd, but in late June, Quintin’s mom called and said he was on a plane heading back to Florida and was given only hours notice to return to base. Thus, their re-planned and re-scheduled wedding was postponed yet again.
Fast forward to June of 2021, they were finally given the OK to schedule for August of 2021 with only a few weeks notice to plan their wedding again! Madi and Quintin had already hired all of their vendors for the original May 2020 date. Fortunately, they hired all the best, most professional vendors who held numerous dates for them and helped them through the process. Their wedding was basically planned three times—imagine doing that! Each time a new wedding date was proposed, each vendor had to be contacted to verify their schedule was open. But finally, the perfect summer wedding was in store!
Maddie and Quintin’s original wedding plans were for late spring, and fortunately the Texas skyline in August matches the one in May, so the soft pinks and blues they chose for their florals and table settings set the perfect mood.
The flowers lining the grand staircase in our ballroom added the perfect romantic touch and really helped the cake stand out on the landing.
Pink and white roses accented with blue and purple flowers decorated everything from the bar menu sign to the cake itself to the ceremony aisle and Kendall Point’s custom cedar cross which served as the ceremony backdrop.
When you wait an extra year after already waiting two since you first booked your wedding day—you know the party is going to be a wild one.
And it started while the bride and groom were each getting ready. We could tell from the signs Madi’s bridesmaid brought that this couple loves a good time.
Quintin’s marine service was front and center on the big day. He and each of his groomsmen were decked out in their Blue Dress uniforms, and the groomsmen also held a saber arch for the bride and groom to pass through as the ceremony ended.
It wasn’t easy, but it was all worth the wait! Maddie and Quintin’s August wedding was flawless thanks to their patience and all the vendors who worked tirelessly to reschedule and hold dates for them to help them have the best day ever.
A big shoutout to our military couples who sometimes jump through hoops to get married!
