• Determine how many wedding guests have been invited to your wedding (including yourself and anyone who will be staying with you). You can also factor in any other potential attendees that might join later on down the line that are visiting from out of town.
• Decide if you want to reserve the block for just the wedding night or for the days surrounding it.

• Determine if you need to reserve rooms at several hotels with varying price points.

It’s not just the job of the hotel to make your guests feel welcome. Consider getting a gift bag together to leave in the guests’ rooms—especially if you’re having a destination wedding or welcoming guests from afar.

Here are some ideas of what you can include in your welcome bag:

• A warm welcome note
• An itinerary and map of the area
• Mints or other candy
• Snacks
• A beverage
